Why Hire a Birth Photographer?

Why Hire a Birth Photographer?

The photos from your labor and delivery are a beautiful reminder of one of the most important days of your life. Allowing a photographer to handle this important task will not only free up Dad or your other support person to be more available to you during your labor and delivery, but it will also ensure that his or her participation is captured as well. Dad won’t have to worry about taking photos, so he’ll be better able to enjoy the moment right along with you. He can be a more active participant on a day worthy of documenting! I like to meet with the couple at least three weeks before delivery to go over what I do during a typical labor and delivery session. It's also a chance to meet each other in person. And go over what types of photo's you do or do not want. What's included..Travel time to and from hospital, birth center, or home. Unlimited coverage of labor, delivery two hours of photo's following delivery, and a CD with 100-150 edited black and white photos. If you are not interested in having me in the room for the labor and delivery I will come within the first 48 hours to capture photo's of you and baby, along with family members, siblings, and friends that come to visit during that time. This is also a good option if you are having a c-section. Also included with both Labor and Delivery is a slideshow of your special day. It's the birth story of your little one set to music of either your choice or mine. Additional services are available such as birth announcements, and prints for an added cost.
